Thinking of standing up on an old laptop on the home network. Interested in how much traffic and instance will generate / ingest

@moderation so far very little traffic but I'm also following only a handful of people from here

@me I have a domain ready to go. Will do some testing over the break. I like the idea of running my own instance. In theory I'll be able to migrate from here when ready

@moderation me too, want to understand the tradeoffs between owning my own my account and participating on others (e.g. Local is empty, Federated... depends") but also whether it can be used to log in to other services. Most seem to require creating a new account with them, e.g. pixelfed
